- VIRAL VIDEO: I never thought I'd hear the name Gargamel again: Thanks to the recent 50th-anniversary craze, my 5-year-old son has been introduced to the Smurfs. The little blue creatures have been turning up on on-demand programming, on the big screen (look for the movie in 2011) -- in Target even! Daily Fill offers up this compilation of the 15 best Smurf moments -- and they're not the fuzzy good times you might recall from your childhood.
- My daughter is obsessed with the color pink. I didn't force it upon her or bombard her with rose-hued clothings, toys, and stuffed animals. In fact, her room is painted blue (it was originally her brother's nursery, and we never repainted it before she took over). According to this mom and her color crusade, however, pink, quite frankly, stinks.
- This may be an Internet hoax, but we'll bite: Mom sends note into daughter's teacher explaining why her kid drew a portrait showing her working a stripper pole. As the addendum explains, Mom is really a Home Depot employee who was being depicted selling the store's last snow shovel. Um -- OK.
- I would have much preferred a soothing 30 minutes of Vince Guaraldi classics: A Charlie Brown Christmas bumped from ABC lineup Tuesday night for Obama speech.
- VIRAL VIDEO: So, who would win in a series of physical and mental challenges, the man or the toddler? Check out this video to discover the victor.
- PRODUCT ALERT: You won't find this at your kid's holiday boutique at school: For that person who has everything, why not make their Christmas extra-special with a reindeer-dung necklace?
- Most parents stay out of their teenagers' bedroom hellholes -- but here's one good reason why you might want to venture in there now and again.
- Thank goodness they didn't drive a Hummer or Oldsmobile : Parents name daughter Kia after car she was born in.
- Cops bust down door with battering ram, evict mom and week-old baby from home.
- VIRAL VIDEO: We'll man them up real quick: If your kids attend the Waldorf School in Saratoga Springs, New York, hope you stocked up on hats and gloves on Black Friday, because they spend three hours outside EVERY DAY, no matter what the temperature or other weather conditions. As our friends at MomLogic point out, it's akin to how the Russians deal with their youngsters to toughen them up.
