The transcript to the somehow-controversial Obama address to the nation's impressionable minds is available on the White House site. To be honest, I didn't read the whole thing because I ain't good at all that readin' and what-not, so I skipped to the end, to see where he was going with this little speech that's causing so much fuss.
Get this: Look how he concludes the speech:
Thank you, God bless you, and God bless America.
How dare this religious nutjob push his deist agenda in our public schools? What's next? Gideon bibles in every classroom?
Aside from putting the entire future of our free world on the shoulder's of children, I saw nothing wrong with his speech. I'm still not sure what all of the hoopla is...
ReplyDeleteOh Snap! Was that today? My five year old, when asked if he watched the President on TV, said "Well, we saw some guy talking."
ReplyDeleteToo bad the same day the President told the kids how he would fix education, 216 children in DC were denied the vouchers that would have enabled them to get a quality education. I guess it just costs too much.
